My set up: Nobile 50 Fifty 139cm board & 7, 9 & 12m NHP kites. The board is why I would never switch brands, after extensive board testing back in 2009 I got this on my feet and no doubt it made kiting more fun. I discovered 139 doesn´t feel long, rather it adds more comfort and stability when going high -for the smaller girls, 134 is new in the 2012-line. For predictable pop, massive pull and easy relaunch I´m so satisfied with the kites. And very quick turning, before I started riding NHPs I hated low wind-slow kites, my biggest kite was a 10m. With the 12m NHP it´s not a problem anymore.
Best competition results: Kite Tour Asia Overall Freestyle 3rd 2010/11, KTA Speed 1st, KTA Vietnam Freestyle 2nd.
I listen to: People who are able to reflect upon what they want from life and believe in what they are doing. And if they don´t, have the guts to do something about it.
When I'm not kiting: I try to find the balance between challenging my mind and spending time with friends. I did Uni before I started kiting and have two passions; psychology & kiting. Being a clinical psychologist & competitive kiter is not always easy -loving a hectic vagabond lifestyle is a must!
Inspirations: No doubt; Beginners!! The light in their eyes is Priceless. If I have a shit session I sit at the beach and watch them flying trainer kites or make their first meters on the board. It gets me back in the right mindset and I hope I never loose the passion that I recognize in them!
What is the weirdest thing about you that no one knows? No one, hm... you would have to access my unconscious to find an answer, that´s where the weird things are stored away. That was a real psychologist answer. I don´t get any older, because i fell into a bowl of magic potion when i was a little boy.
Your opinion about other Nobile riders: Great meeting Mike, had some inspirational talks with him! He convinced me that 139cm 50Fifty-board was the best length even though I´m a girl (I´m tall and was considering 134cm). Was kinda sceptical, but after a short session on his board I was convinced. Plus he´s a helluva poker player.
